this was my brain when i first heard this song last year:
listen 1: what the fuck is this? it sounds like bjork in preschool playing over a bad harpsicord. why is this girl's album on all thsoe top 10 lists? how could anybody like this shit?
listen 2: ok maybe the harpsicord part is a little more complex i initially thought. the voice though. cant get over that
listen 3: ok that harpsicord part is really fucking complex and goes really well with the vocal melody, but the voice is still unbearable.
listen 4: ok maybe the voice isnt so bad, i actually kind of like that part where they layer her voice a few times.
listen 5: ok i just found the lyrics on the internet and read them while listening to the song and they're great.. but that damned voice is still there.. why couldn't have someone else made this song?
listen 6: ok. it clicked. her voice is perfect for this song, no one else could have made this quite as good
listens 7-100000: this song is perfect in every possible way.
